LISTEN
Listen to your city in the night. Lay in your sheets but put your ears up to the glass window. Feel the sounds, let the noise over take you. For one night turn off your music, turn on your senses. Understand the voice of your city, and when you return you will remember, and one again be comforted by the familiar presence of its present energy.

Porkchop
He lives here in Asbury, and he does a ton of public work locally. He did a mural in the casino on the boardwalk and just recently finished a collaborative mural piece on the wall of the Baronet theater right down the street. I also recently learned from my tattoo Artist, Chis Deleney, who is the best friend pf porkchop that the spray painted porkchop tag all around town is his too. I thought it was a wistle??
okay, so here is some of me favorite work of his:
INK: I want him to play with my snake for me, I'm workin on it.

I got this book from the Library yesterday, and im quite excited about it. I collect old photographs and this is their bible. Here are some images form the book, but check out the website, its cool, you can flip through the entire book. Its kinda annoying to get the pages to turn tho.

Orchestra of Bubbles
Two Musicians come together to create an orchestra of Bubbles . Ellen Allien & Apparat. Apparat and Allien are both known for their electronic music and just recently collaborated together for this new album. Its bangggin. Remind me a little of Aphex, Apparat and him ellegidly collaborated. I like them both solo too, but this great. Plus they hot together. Just wanna loose it to them in a sea of lights. My mind that is.

Spiral in, Spiral out
I'm pretty interested in them right now. They are considered hip hop, but to me they are so much more. Love the visuals too.
They go by the name of Prefuse 73

James Jean
so I really like the fluidity of his style. Some stuff has almost an animation feel which I hate but some of his drawings are just great. Like these. Plus he went to SVA, which is funny because some of his lighter more natural work is similar to my own style. hey, hey.

live musica?
What is live music to you? Why do you like it? To be in the presence of the pure brilliance of noise and sound, to experience something more powerful and real then what can speak through headphones. To be for a moment inside of something bigger and fuller then you and your life. To dance, to move, a beat not just in your ears but in your veins dragging and pulsing its intention to every last artery. The focus, intention, energy set it apart from the false creation one hears through a recording. But I am quick to contradict myself upon hearing o the sound of Bon Iver's pitch rolling and over crisp chords drawing me into the calmness of sleep through the microscopic noice holes of my computer speaker. I am facinated, intreaged, stimulated, every cleshay word to discribe being in the presence of music. I feel this at every show, but this weekend I lived in it. The sounds rocking my tent into a deep spiral of indused sleep.
done.
done.
simply a sea
They ate me in a pit of smell, sound, and visual and physical stimulation. And I loved it, It was an experience. I got dirty and wet, but it blew my mind for the most part. Im a roo, along with 80,000 others.
